Personal Pronouns. Subject and Object Pronouns
1. Study the rule.
|
We use personal pronouns in place of nouns. They may be subject (she) or object (her). We often use object pronouns after be. e.g. Who is it? – It’s me.
We do not use I, she, etc. on their own in answer to questions with Who?. In everyday speech we use object pronouns or personal pronouns + verb. e.g. Who told him? – Not me. /I didn’t.
We use object pronouns after as and than. e.g. He’s taller than me. He’s as tall as me. He’s taller than I’m. He’s as tall as I’m.
